I'm currently a freshman at Tufts, and I am looking into transferring to Northwestern next fall. I know that when/if I apply, it will help to have a specific major in mind so I can better articulate my interest in the program. If I were to stay at Tufts, I would be majoring in Quantitative Economics, but there are multiple programs at NU that interest me. Any help in distinguishing between them would be very helpful. Basically, I have narrowed it down to Industrial Engineering (though I wouldn't consider myself a traditional engineering student), Mathematical Methods in Social Sciences ( I know this is competitive), and just regular economics. With all of these, I would likely pursue the Kellogg certificates. If I am missing another major that seems similar to these, just let me know. I am just having trouble narrowing it down to one of these and finding the real differences between them.

Thanks!
