I was accepted as a sophomore transfer student in back in may. I waited to hear back from several other schools until I ended up chosing buffalo. Only problem with that was I waited until several weeks ago to send in my tuition and housing deposit.
I was informed about a week ago that I was on the waiting list to be accepted into the dorms. The woman I spoke with encouraged me to seek off campus housing. I'm reluctant to do so because I wanted to live in the dorms because I want to have a full college experience my first time away from home. i feel like living in an apartment would hinder my ability to meet new people, especially in a new town where I don't know anyone.
I'm concerned mostly about if I dont end up living in the dorms. As the fall semester closes in, I'm just nervous about when or if I'll receive housing. I recieved an offer to live in one of the villas, but I'd much rather live in a dorm, seeing as how I'd have a better oppertunity to adjust or meet people.
Anyone have any imput on this, or if I should take up the offer to live on the villas or just wait to hear back from the dorms?

The villas/sweethome will not fill up. Wait for the dorms if you want, but it seems like they won’t know if they can fit you in until after the semester starts.
