Last year I applied and was accepted into Fordham (Gabelli). It was my top choice but the scholarship and aid they offered me was mediocre so I couldn't attend. I believe they offered my around $8k scholarship & close to no aid. Is there any chance they would give me a bigger scholarship this time around? I have a 4.0 GPA at my current university, 31 ACT Score etc… Or am I just wasting my time? Are they usually generous towards transfer students or stingy?

I am not certain, but I think that normally transfer students at most colleges dont get scholarship funds as those are given to incoming freshmen to encourage them to attend. If you got 8k in scholarsihp last year, its likely gone. If you got zero financial aid, that means your family didnt qualify for some reason As a transfer you will be offered financial aid if your family qualifies. If you dont like the award you can appeal the award. If that still doesnt give you enough to attend Fordham, then you have to find another school or remain at your present school. All scholarships and financial aid are a form of discounting the price of attending a college. There is no right to either, its a gift and to some extent a decision by you to take student loans as part of the price to attend. Not being snarky just being honest. In any event, you can call admissions and see what they say, as they are the source for accurate information and not this board despite our best efforts. Good luck.
