transfer student to USC annenberg help!

I'm a ccc student and i will have all the GE's done by spring but idk what else do they require. what is their foreign language requirements? and i will be taking spanish 101 this fall and then spanish 102 next semester... it says on the website that they only require 1 semester of foreign language but when i emailed USC they said 3 semesters minimum!
also my GPA is at 3.67 with several of EC's such as student gov, honor society, volunteer work and working part time (assistant manager)..... are my stats to weak to be competitive for Annenberg?

Hey! I’m also applying to Annenberg for Fall 2010.

The foreign language requirement IS three semesters. Your stats seem on the right track but just try and boost your GPA a bit. Annenberg is extremely competitive. I have a 4.0 GPA and I’m still terrified of not getting in… :/

What are you applying for (major-wise)?

wow you shouldn’t be worried at all, you have the highest possible GPA you can get! lol I’m a bit worried because GPA is not high enough and i would only be able to finish two semesters of a foreign language… Im going to apply either as communication or broadcast journalism… what major are you applying as and what alternate major are you going to choose?

I’m applying as Communications major because Annenberg doesn’t like to accept transfers with more than 40 units into the Journalism/PR programs. Hopefully, if accepted, I’ll be able to inter-tranfer to Broadcast Journalism. But my second choice major is Political Science, because I’m currently a double major in Journalism and Political Science.

Sorry to revive this old thread, but I have a question about the language requirement.

I will transfer from a CC to USC next year (at least try, ha), into Annenberg and am wondering if language is really required. Does taking high school spanish for four years bypass that requirement? And if I don’t take a language at CC, can I still apply/will it seriously hurt my admission?

I’m double majoring and cannot seem to fit a language into my schedule as USC is the only school I’m applying to that requires it. Please help!
