Ok so I realize my situation is a bit different from everyone else’s here so I’ll appreciate any input.
Major: Business Econ
College GPA: 3.9 (I took Astro 3, Econ 1, and GE CLST M1A)
SAT: 2200 (670 CR, 730 MA, 800 WR)
High School GPA: ugh i forgot but its like a 4.6-4.7 weighted (2 B’s,the rest of them are A’s)
top 10% of my high school (ranked 2nd in California)
Ok so here’s the real twist:
I am a student-athlete that competes in swimming. One of the main reasons I want to transfer to CMC is because they have a very good reputation both as an outstanding academically performing school as well as an excellent D3 swimming program. (Just to clarify, I am an asian male who is 18 years old).My times are as follows: 50 free: 23.62, 100 free - 50.14, 200 free - 1:46.93. I realize that most of the people here are not gonna be swimmers but just to put things into perspective, I would be 5th at the 2016 SCIAC conference meet in the 200 free among all the CMC swimmers.
Please let me know if I forgot to put up any more stats that are needed to get a better idea of where I stand.
Oh, and I was waitlisted to CMC when I applied senior year of high school but decided not to go on the waitlist.
If need be, I can also list the schools I got accepted to last year and where I was waitlisted/rejected.
Thank you everyone!
Sincerely,
Someone who is SOOO (not) excited to do the common app again
