I am currently a student at Penn State University. Obviously it is diffucult to get into Stanford no matter how you do it (from high school, college, or w/e). As a transfer student, what are the keys things Someone should keep in mind when applying as a transfer student? What do they look at in particularly? Are a transfer student's odds of acceptance and better or worse?

Thank you.

Odds are worse, percentage-wise.

You need a good reason to transfer there. And you also need to be very qualified of course.

It's hard to get in as a transfer no doubt about that. For example in 2006 Stanford accepted ~5% of transfer applicants and I would be really surprised if that number hasn't dropped in the past few years. That said you should still try just make sure you have a high GPA and other stats!
