Hi, I just finished filling out my CSU application for Cal Poly on CSU Mentor. However there seems to be an issue with the transfer supplemental page. I can only put in a maximum number of 4 classes in the “Analytical Geometry/Calculus/Differential Equations/Engineering Calculus” Section. However I need to put in five: Calculus 1, 2, 3, Differential Equations, and Linear Algebra. I checked with a few different community colleges on where to put the classes, and each seem to say that they all go in this section. How should I go about including all five classes?
Also, should I not include major specific classes that do NOT transfer over? I have quite a few engineering classes that transfer over to UC’s however CSU’s don’t seem to want them.
I did a practice application to see what you were talking about so I get what you are saying, Cal Poly SLO is the only school with those supplemental transfer sections. These, for anyone reading, are sections that show all the required courses for admission to SLO in their catagory of fulfillment, so there is english, finite math, major, etc and you then simply enter the grade you got. You can add a class and up to 4 classes under each section and put the grade and unit value.
So that was just so others aren’t confused like I was, you might want to put this question to the SLO forum and see if anyone there had this issue instead of just the transfer students forum.
The only thing I could figure is that they have a cap on how many you can transfer over for certain subjects, unless the course is part of your major. If the course is part of your major and required for your AAT or whatever maybe it should go in that section… not sure best of luck buddy !!!
Wow, I’m glad it doesn’t show up for only me. Thanks for taking your time out to try it out! I’ll cross post it over to the SLO forum, as well as call the admissions office, or transfer office monday morning. I’ll post back with the results!
