Mine has been processed as well and there is a blank next to status don’t worry you’re not alone
@collegegirlyyy Awesome, thank u!
Yes!!! @Klow7 I’m worried too
@klow7 yes there is a blank under status.
USF is the only school I’m waiting for if I got in or not. I have to make a decision soon because most state schools that I got accepted to their deadline is on May 1st to accept or decline… :-/
@danib same, and this is getting annoying. Why would they have an April 1 date if they’re not going to stick to it at all?
I honestly do not know! Hopefully we’ll hear back by the end of this week. If not, I’m gonna have to call admissions. again… :(( lol @Seabreeze843
@danib123 @Seabreeze843 Exactly! We’ve been extremely patient and I think its about time we got the real deal instead of just packets of brochures. haha
@Seabreeze843 Let us know what they say when u call! I’ll do the same if we still hear nothing back
@danib123 @klow7 The email I got said late April; however, I just saw an ask on their Tumblr that said that all decisions would be made in mid-March! I’ll let you guys know when I get a decision letter. I figure being on the other side of the country means theres gonna be some lag, post-wise.
Not to be a downer, but I would just like to give my anecdotal on University of San Francisco before any of you SIR there. I attended three semesters at usf before I withdrew and attended CCSF. Now I’m waiting to hear on my decision from UC’s.
For me, the campus was beautiful, in a great location and so close to financial district, haight street, golden gate park, the beach. I love the city! I met my best friend at usf whom I live off campus with now and 4 other housemates in the sunset district, in a nice house.
However, I found many things wrong with the place:
- The amount of core classes the school makes you take is arbitrary and is meant to make money off of you.
- The school has no community and can be hard at times to make friends or feel together with people.
- People can be very cliquey/superficial
- The campus is small and feels lifeless at times
- It's $60k a year
It’s not worth it to take out $120k in loans for two years, IF you are attending via loans. I love SF but the school was subpar for the price I was paying out of pocket ($60k). Again, this is just my experience, you guys could have a much better experience and I hope you all do!
Thank you for your advice, I actually did a lot of research before I even applied this school.
They gave me about $30,000 a year scholarship and Financial Aid, I’m about taking $10,000 a year for 2 and half years, what do you think taking $25k for a Finance degree?
There ain't many UCs have my major except Haas Business in Berkeley, others either have normal Business Admin or Econ major. I wanted to go to San Francisco because this town is pretty much the only place in California that has many internship opportunities for Finance major. I got accepted by every second tier UCs and I do not have to pay a dime for the tuition. You think I should go to second tier UCs or go to USFCA and give San Francisco a shot?
If USF will be cheap for you attend, you should! However, if you plan to live on campus for your next two years you may want to rethink that. Usually USF kicks you out of the dorms after your first year living on campus so they can make room for the next new batch of admits. So then you have to think about off campus housing which is incredibly expensive lol.
If you’re looking for a lively school with a community, then USF is definitely not the choice you’re looking. What are you looking for exactly? What UC’s did you get into? If you don’t have to pay anything for the UC’s, I’d sat definitely go to a UC.
UCSC is super close to San Jose, which has tons of internship opportunities. UCD is also relatively close to San Francisco, which also opens up that set of internship opportunities. But, like you said, USF only has your exact major.
Hey guys I got in!!! Just got the email 30 minutes ago :)))
I got into the USF’s nursing program!! Just got the email and packet in the mail. they also gave me a $6500 scholarship over 6 semesters so around $39,000! Congrats to everyone that got in.
Hey guys I got in as well. How do you check the FIN AID award ? I’m lost and all i have is an email that says congrats
@muchConflicted to be honest I don’t care about Campus life or friendship in college lol, I’m going to college to get a degree and get some good connections, I’d prefer to live off campus and hopefully get some internships during my last year. But you are right, I’m still thinking about $0 out of pocket or $25000 for this school because of the city lol
@Klow7 So how much you have to take loan? How much are you willing to take the most?
@CollegeGirlyyy They should send you a letter in couple days, a big package, you will see your reward inside. Keep me updated, I just want to know how much you guys gonna get loan for, thanks
@egm1712 @Klow7 @CollegeGirlyyy Congratulations you guys!!! I got another brochure from them yesterday. Super disappointing. I’m still waiting for a decision. (Is it possible that there’s lag because I am on the East Coast ?)
