Transfer to Amherst from CC

<p>Hi -- </p>

<p>Could anyone tell me what my transfer chances might be, going from a community college with a 4.0 (maintained over nearly 2 years), NO test scores (Amherst doesn't require them for transfers), and strong essays, teacher recs?</p>

<p>Good shot. I've been e-mailing the adviser and the average admit GPA is 3.7 and she said SAT's or no SAT's it doesn't matter.</p>

<p>The adviser does that EXACTLY, she's the adviser for CC transfers. In fact, Amherst has a new agreement with CC's through a new grant. The chances for CC transfers are pretty good IMHO, at 1/6 "generally" without SAT's required or even suggested.</p>
