I keep getting emails and letters in the mail from Brandeis telling me to apply. Does this mean anything? Are they interested in me? I think that they just send out letters based on your GPA. Am I correct? I have over two years worth of credits in Chemical Engineering and a 3.81 GPA. I can’t afford this school, though. I looked up tuition and fees, and it looks like they charge you approximately $60,000 for room, board, tuition and miscellaneous fees (books, transportation, et cetera). Does Brandeis give out generous aid packages? Should I bother applying? I really like the school, and was surprised that they even contacted me. They’re ranked #32 in the nation. They don’t have engineering, though, I don’t think. Are there other comparable universities that DO offer engineering? I have many questions…

If you are looking for a comparable school that has an engineering program, look at U of Rochester.
