Transfer to CUNY, anyone admitted

how did you look for it to know ?

What kind of GPA is needed to get into baruch Business?

its 3.2 the minimum that's what I heard

Did any other transfers receive any news yet?

I applied like 2-3 months ago, but the automated CUNY hotline still says my application is incomplete. An operator assured me that my application is complete and the voice message just hasn't updated.

I have no clue why it's taking so long to hear news from these schools, I only applied to Baruch & Hunter.

How do transfer applicants find out if they've been accepted on CUNY portal, I thought only freshmens get accepted through portal?

For the transfers in this thread who were accepted, how did you find out? Letter from schools/automated message/or did something on portal actually update?

I haevnt received any news yet.
seems like they have a problem updating the automated hotline because when i call it says my app is incomplete too. so they gotta fix that, but when i talk to a counselor they say everything is complete and already sent to the colleges and that i might get a letter from a college by the end of the month or early april.

You will find out when they send u a letter, they're supposed to send you an acceptance letter some day, but it has to be before May. if you a transfer you can't look at your status online you'll have to call, but if you a freshman immediately when you log on to your portal it'll say you were accepted if so...

Just wondering, any CUNY transfers hear anything yet? Still nothing for me…

bump…

any member is accepted by baruch business school?

Haven’t heard anything. “Please allow 4 to 6 weeks.”

Did you guys all file your FAFSAs already?

I didn’t hear anything. Baruch’s business school is my 1st choice, so I’ll post here once I hear something.

I filed my FAFSA already, I believe its due pretty soon.

Okay well CUNY hotline updated, I’ve been rejected to the only two schools I applied to Baruch+Hunter. On top of that I was rejected to the 2 non CUNY’s I applied to (Stony/Bing). Amazinggggg

why are CUNYs are hard to get into now? i thought they were easy.

Violins, I’m sorry to hear that. What were your stats?

I tried calling just now, but they’re experiencing technical difficulties. Bastards!

■■■■!!! I got into Hunter, my first choice!!! I was applying late and they told me that I don’t have a chance because spaces fill up there the fastest and that I should just apply for the spring semester, but I got in! ■■■■!!!1

I’m not sure why I’m so happy because I’m transferring down and it’s probably going to be hell getting all my credits to record… Well, good luck everyone else!

Has anyone received their acceptance packet yet?

I haven’t gotten my acceptance packet, but I had to find out through the hotline that I got accepted to Hunter  My first choice.

MAN did they take forever to make up their minds! 4-6 weeks my butt :p

Umm, I got accepted before you and there was no “acceptance packet.” You’re supposed to get an e-mail within 2 weeks.

Goodness, I’m going crazy myself wondering when I am ever going to hear back from CUNY. My application went through after only a day after the deadline (Mar. 16) and didn’t appear complete until just a few weeks ago, according to the portal.

I’ve sent an e-mail off about it which usually takes a week for them to reply to those and I may call them after school today. Is it really taking them 4+ weeks to get back to everyone? Apparently so.

I just need some reassurance and maybe some words of encouragement through all this craziness. I mean, graduation is only two weeks away! :(

Accepted to Hunter! Just waiting to be exempt from the tests since I took credits!
Anyone else?
So excited!
Psyc major here!

Accepted to Baruch College!

Today!

To Mathy: In contrast to perception, CUNY is not that easy to get into.
Many of the students turn down/transfer from higher-ranked schools (such as NYU, Berkeley, Rutgers).

Some CUNY alums end up in the Ivy League (like Harvard Medical, Yale Law) and many of the profs hail from Ivies.

Taking into consideration the entire undergrad curriculum, in NYC the best of CUNY (Hunter, Brooklyn, Queens, Baruch, City, Baruch) rank after Columbia, NYU and Fordham.
