transfer to georgetown and some questions

i am in a strange situation. i went to carnegie mellon university out of high school. i did not like it and decided to switch to a major that they did not have. so i transferred to usc (southern cal).

to tell you the truth, i like southern cal even less. i am considering just going back to carnegie mellon, but i have always wanted to go to georgetown and the location is really the selling point to me.

i had a 4.0 from carnegie mellon for all of freshmen year and a 3.92 from usc for all of sophomore year.

my SATs were 670 verbal 650 math 720 writing.

i would be interested in doing english or history

my high school record was good as well. i took mostly honors and some AP (my school didnt offer that many) and my unweighted gpa was 3.55 (i dont remember how they weighted it, but it was above 4.0 weighted)

right now i am taking a year off. i went to italy for this fall semester (i had previously taken italian at school) and studied at a language institute. this semester i am working at a newspaper as a writer (i thought this was good since i want to do english)

do you think my situation is too strange for georgetown?

Also, can someone list out of the Gen Ed requirements for the college at georgetown and maybe also describe the housing and food situation (where do most upperclassmen live, eat, etc.)

thank you guys so much
