Transfer to McCombs?

I want to externally transfer into McCombs from CC and currently have 47 hours. I know that UT reviews applications after 30 hours are completed, but I am still taking the indicator courses this spring. I already completed calc and econ 1 and I will finish calc and econ 2 after this Spring semester. Will they review my application after I send in my Spring transcript or right now? If they do it now, I'll get auto-rejected from McCombs (hence I'm sending my Spring semester)? Anyone been in this situation?

The admissions will review your application for McCombs after you send your updated transcript because they will see that you are still in the process of finishing your indicator classes. The only exception would be if your GPA is between 3.5-3.7. Then I think they will just accept you in your second choice without looking at your spring grades.

If you don’t mind me asking Topawala, were you in a similar situation? I was told of the possibility that they might just look at it no matter what.

Oh, and I have a 4.0 which will probably stay that way.

Yes I was in that situation where I had over 30 hours but was still in the process of taking the indicator classes. My GPA was 3.5 so I got my decision in April and got my 2nd choice(Economics). If you have a 4.0 then you are just going to have to wait until the late May/ early June to get accepted into McCombs.

But they’ll definitely consider my Spring semester stuff? And do you think they’ll take me JUST on GPA? So I don’t need to worry about impressing them with ECs, recommendations, etc?

Thanks dude (I assume?) I really appreciate it!!
