<p>Is it true that if you get accepted to the universities that you applied to in high school and then decide to go to community college you can still automatically attend the university you were accepted to in high school.</p>
<p>Nothing is automatic, but if you have a good reason (ie essays) and GPA, you should have a pretty good shot</p>
<p>I would say you have a greater chance. I applied to a school that I was accepted to as a freshman as a transfer student (not that Rice is bad… it was more for program/major reasons), and I think getting in the 1st time gave me an edge in the admissions process. However, I would recommend making the choice right the 1st time, unless you have significant financial obstacles.</p>
<p>OP, that statement is not true. First, many colleges have lower acceptance rates for transfers than fr. Second, what a college looks for in transfers can differ from what they look for in fr applicants.</p>
