Transfer to stevens

Hi! I’m a senior in high school. Sadly, I wasn’t accepted by Stevens, but I really want to go there. My plan is to transfer there. I have so questions about what decision to make. My major is electrical engineering. I was accepted to Northeastern, NYU Poly, Stony Brook, and NJIT. Northeastern and NYU Poly are sadly too expensive, so I am between NJIT and Stony Brook. So about these two schools: Which school should I go to? What are the pros and cons of each? Also some questions about the actual transfer: Which one do I have a better chance of getting into Stevens from? How soon can I transfer into Stevens? One semester? A year? Two? I am having trouble deciding what to do.

NJIT vs Stony Brook: are you close enough to NJIT to commute? That would save money. Since you said that two of your schools are ‘too expensive’, I am wondering why you are considering Stevens as it is probably in the same price range.

It seems like you would be able to transfer after one semester. Here is the transfer info page: http://www.stevens.edu/sit/admissions/transfer/index.cfm

Note from this page: “The midyear report is not required but is useful for students who would like Stevens to be aware of their progress in the courses that they are currently taking. It is strongly recommended for students seeking to transfer who are in their first semester at a university.”
