<p>Well obviously I need higher than 3.0 hahaha. 3.8 is their average, I know. But my question was about the requirements for getting in the TAP program.</p>
<p>Yes, after 12 units you can apply for UCLA TAP. I’m not familiar with Berkeley TAP, so you’d have to email and ask.</p>
<p>The 3.0 GPA is a Scholars program requirement, and you are right, will not get you into UCLA.</p>
<p>Yeah but does the 3.0 GPA have to come from the 12 units or high school?</p>
<p>12 units</p>

<p>High school is basically irrelevant for UC junior-level transfer, except in possibly fulfilling some base level requirements (that there are other ways of fulfilling). AP/IB/A-level scores are sometimes accepted in lieu of introductory course work – check your transfer target schools and their major departments for details. For example, Berkeley economics accepts AP/IB/A-level scores as described at <a href=“Freshmen Information”>Freshmen Information; (verify that transfer students are also eligible to use the same scores if it matters to you).</p>
Yeah, I figured. But what about for enrolling in CC? Will the courses that I have taken in high school matter? Also this may be a silly question, but what are the odds of being able to transfer to another university after the two years? I mean I will be able to get in SOMEWHERE at least right?
Previous high school course work or AP/IB/A-level scores may be specified for placement in some courses (there may also be placement tests at the school).
With completion of the required prerequisite courses and a 2.0 GPA, you will be admitted to a non-impacted major at a non-impacted CSU campus. Of course, you need to do better to get admitted to a more selective major or campus.
Ahh I get it. Thanks. Also could you tell me a bit about the transfer agreement guarantee? I read up on it but I am unsure how it works; the UC websites are a bit vague. I know that I cant sign up for TAG for Cal or UCLA. And I know that I have to fulfill a specific set of requirements as well. But can I sign up for UCSD, UCSD and Davis? And is it possible to sign up for TAG at any CC? Or do I need to be at specific ones?
There is no TAG at UCB, UCLA, or UCSD. You can TAG from any CC as long as you meet the requirements.
The website to submit it is : https://uctap.universityofcalifornia.edu/students/index.cfm
If you google, UC TAG Matrix, there is tons of info for each UC that accepts it.
Ah yeah I found the matrix. But is the TAG a binding decision like applying ED? Do you have to go to the uni if you do TAG and get accepted? I was thinking of TAG as sort of a back up.
No, TAG is not binding at all.
Everyone pretty much uses TAG as a back-up.
