Hi, I'm a second semester sophomore applying to transfer to UChicago from a tier 1 university (ranked in upper 40's)..
3.85 GPA
Physics and Chemistry Major

in 300 level Arabic, finished optics and modern physics, finished organic chemistry, calc 3, diff eq, linear algebra...
Lots of community service through university, including teaching science to local high school students
Classical guitar player
In an honors society, dean's list, etc..

I have a question though, in my first semester of freshmen year I was caught by campus police with <1g of marijuana, wasn't arrested, but was put on academic probation for the semester... am I required to report this to all universities im applying to transfer to? I think it might be on my record, and if it is and i do report it, do you think it will make that much of an impact? I think all recommendations from advisors won't raise concern with the incident that happened... and me transferring. Finally, I applied as a high school senior but was rejected. My HS Gpa was 3.5 and my ACT was 31..

I might also apply to Columbia (science), Rice (school of natural science), Northwestern, and WUSTL... all science, obviously..

Thanks for your help. :)
