Transfer to UIUC

I am in my junior year (possibly sophmore yr credit wise) and have recently been accepted to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I am from Massachusetts so it would be quite the move, which I am ok with.

I was just hoping you guys might have some insight into how things are out there, the campus seems great and all of that.

I was just wondering how many students roughly live on campus after their freshman yr. The school I'm currently at almost everyone moves off after one year in dorms. I'm hoping it is a little different at Illinois.

Any other insight you guys have into the school would also be appreciated, Thanks guys!

little bump here

Did you get admitted for Fall 2011?

i got admitted for spring 2011

Hey, I got admitted for Spring '11 too! Where are you going to live?

Lol, I got admitted for Spring of 2011 too ! But to answer your question A LOT of people stay on campus after freshman year. That’s one of the reasons why I chose to apply. And if the upperclass students choose not to stay in the dorms, they usually get Apartments…which are on campus and can be acquired through University Housing…so they’re basically dorms with TONS of leadway (less strict about alcohol, no RA and we can have pets!). But this school is all about spirit so maks sure you have some Orange in your wardrobe !!! See you at the Transfer Registration thingy !

well thats good to hear, and yea one of the big reasons why I wanted to go there was the big D1 sports program and all that.

what you guys gona major in?
