Hello All,

I need someone to evaluate and project if I have a chance getting into UMD for the Fall 2013 semester. In fall of 2011, I was attending a state university in PA (although I am a MD resident) but left early and withdrew because of a family members illness. I enrolled in a community college and took 18 credits in the spring. Out of my six classes, I received five A's and one C (3.67 gpa). I started studying recreation and did a 6 credit field experience over the summer which I received an A in. This semester (fall 2012) I was taking 18 credits but withdrew from one (cultural anthropology- elective) and the other 15 credits are recreation classes (outdoor rec, leadership, etc). I am projecting at least 4 A's out of my 5 classes. I was accepted into the Honor Society (phi theta kappa) and honors program at my community college. I am also in some other organizations. I work for a non-profit, was a camp counselor during the summer and volunteer weekly. During the winter semester, I plan on completing a psych course and a remedial math. In the spring, I have two options- to take my fundamental math and recreation courses or to enroll in my fundamental math (stats) and take 5 honors programs which guarantee me admission to UMCP. However, I'm not sure if the guaranteed admission goes into effect after I complete them (summer/fall 2013) or if I would still be guaranteed admission (with the application due in March).

Please some one tell me my chances and if I should even complete the honors guaranteed classes, especially if it would hold me back a semester.

Thanks!
