University of Maryland: CP Fall 2010

I was just curious what others thought my chances of being accepted were and I have a few questions.

My situation:
I'm a computer science major who just finished my freshman year at a Maryland community college and I would like to transfer to the University of Maryland: College Park in the Fall of 2010. I have about a 3.5, but I can guess that I will have about a 3.6 when I apply.
They don't need HS transcripts or SAT scores for transfer students with 30+ credits (which I have exceeded). The have the personal essay and resume listed as optional. I'll definitely write the essay, but I don't have much to put on a resume. I have not done much extra-curricular stuff at all; the only thing that I can think of is lettering in German club in 10th grade, lol.

My main questions are:
(1) Should I volunteer this summer away, or do I have a good chance of being accepted with a sparse/no resume?
(2) Would it be better to submit a sparse resume or none at all? (It is optional)
(3) How are my chances of being accepted looking?

Thanks for any input, I really appreciate it.

I think the UMs have a guaranteed transfer plan. Do you qualify?

There are several Maryland community colleges that have that partnership with the University of MD where as long as you have a 3.0 you are guaranteed admission. Unfortunately, the community college I attend doesn’t have such a plan.
