Hi everyone,

I am currently a freshman at Santa Monica College, and recently found out that one of the schools I wanted to transfer to (USC) accepts students after the first year of university. I am now comparing this advantage with UCLA, which requires two years worth of credits.

My question is: is it worth it to stay another year in a community college if that means I'll have the chance of going to UCLA over USC? Are both equal to the point where it would benefit me to transfer earlier?

I am a pre-med student and am considering the tuition for USC an issue but am determined to manage it if i am accepted.
