Transfer to UT Austin from UT Dallas for Fall 2012

<p>So I was hoping to transfer from UT Dallas to UT Austin for Fall 2012. My Fall semester GPA is a 3.466 which is a bit lower then I was hoping for. I have a fairly good amount of extra curricular activities and a job. I was wondering if someone could give me my chances of getting into either McCombs and College of Communications for Advertising. I really want to get into McCombs because my parents don't think I should transfer if I don't get in since I have a very nice scholarship at UTD, but I really want to go to UT. Additionally, does anyone know if second semester GPA is considered, and if my 4.0 GPA for 6 hours of community college is added into the cumulative GPA that UT Austin considers. Thanks Y'all!</p>

<p>Oh and my SAT score was a 1290 Math and Reading, but I'm not sure if they even consider that any more.</p>

<p>you should be able to make the transfer because UT Dallas and UT Austin are both apart of the UTexas system</p>

<p>No chance at mccombs. You need a 3.9 to transfer there</p>

<p>just apply to whatever college at UTexas Austin is easiest to get into, then transfer to MCcombs when your there.</p>
