Hello i just finished up my freshman year at the University of Houston. I have a 3.66, i was wondering would this be good enough to get me into Mccombs? I have 24 credits, although im currently taking two classes at El Centro. (cal 2,Macro)

If anybody has transferred into UT, please give me some insight.

btw i am in the honors program over here if that helps

It can be pretty tough to get into McCombs externally, definitely a lo tougher than internally. If you go to their website, it will tell the average GPA of each of the past “classes” to be admitted. Off the top of my head, I think it is up to almost a 3.9. Also, McCombs only takes students in the fall, and they also require 24 hours in residence at UT for internal transfers. So your best bet is to go the whole year to at UH and then try to enter McCombs externally.

Your GPA will most likely be good enough to get into COLA or Natural sciences.

McCombs is pretty hard to get into externally. You probably need to make A’s in Calc 2 and Macro to bring your GPA up to at least a 3.8. With at 3.8+ and some good essays, you’ll be competitive.
