Transfer Units? On the borderline.

I am applying to transfer from another UC campus to Berkeley as an EECS major.

After this academic year, I could end up with a minimum of 132.5 quarter units, or I could end up with upwards of 141.5 quarter units (with music classes and summer school). Senior standing is 135 quarter units, which makes specifying what level I am applying as difficult.

Which one should I apply as - junior or senior transfer? Are there any advantages to either one? Keep in mind that if I decide to stay junior status and I'm declined admission, then I will have held back for nothing.

PS: EECS is open to junior and senior transfers.

Thanks!

you want to apply as a junior.

“students who earn in excess of 89 units at four-year colleges (or in programs combining community college and four-year college credit) may be considered too advanced for admission to the bachelor’s program in engineering)”

It means you can’t apply. GG
