What are the pros and cons of coming in as a transfer instead of a freshman.
Since I will get my AA during highschool can I double major as a transfer student and stay at UF for all four years?

Not sure if I understand your question. In your case (a freshman with an AA degree), there are no pros or cons; you would be admitted as a “freshman” who has to meet his transfer requirements and would be a “junior” once enrolled. If you hadn’t gotten your AA, you wouldn’t have to worry about meeting your colleges transfer requirements.

You could double major and take up to 4 years to graduate, as long as you’re meeting your college requirements and don’t pass the credit limit. However, if you really want to stay in school for 4 years (after already having your AA), you should think about getting a master’s degree (based on your major) and not “double” major just to extend your time at UF.

The main “con” would be that you have to get accepted to the actual program you want to be in, instead of just applying for general freshman admissions. I think this can be harder because I have know people who had their AA but couldn’t get into the program they wanted because they didn’t take certain classes needed to get in.
A pro would be that you don’t have to worry about gen ed classes anymore. You would only have classes left that are from your college and specific to your major.
You could probably extend your time in college by a year by double majoring, maybe two. You could also pick up a minor, which are usually an extra 15 credit hours.
