High School with AA transfer student

I am deciding between UCF and UM where I would be a freshman and can study any major or UF where I will be a transfer due to my AA degree from dual enrollment. I had to select a major of economics and dont want to commit to UF if I will be held back and limited. I am unsure if I will be able to change or add majors to study what I want. Does anybody have experience with this form of admission. Thanks for any feedback.

I too was admitted to UF for fall 2015 with an AA degree straight from high school graduation. I would suggest UF because if you go in with your AA degree you don’t have to complete the annoying general education requirements that you’ve likely already done.

This summer try to get involved in activities that might help you figure out what you want to do with your life. If you do, great. If you don’t then just keep studying economics and just go to grad school to extend or branch out your knowledge. Economics is a great major because it’s versatile and it can provide you with the skills for several different paths such as law school, business school, a PhD, etc.

Having your AA degree is going to save you and your parents tons of money! Be proud, it should feel like an accomplishment, not a burden.

Hope this helps!

You don’t have to complete general requirements as a “freshman” either. So I don’t see the difference.
