Transfer w/ an ROTC Scholarship?

<p>My question mainly refers to a Navy ROTC Scholarship</p>

<p>Is it possible to attend a college/university with a 4 year NROTC scholarship and then transfer, say after 2 years, and keep the scholarship? </p>

<p>example: Lets say I attend Oregon State U on my NROTC scholarship. After 2 years, I apply to transfer to UC Berkeley, and get accepted to Berkeley. If there is room at the NROTC detachment in Berkeley, could I transfer my scholarship from OSU to UC Berkeley? If yes, has anyone done it?</p>

<p>Have you already received a NROTC scholarship? If so, you should be able to contact your recruiter and get an answer. It seems plausible but NROTC does not always work in a plausible fashion. I'm assumimg that the cost would be much higher at Berkeley so that would prob. be the stumbling block. The Navy isn't rollin' in dough so may not be interested in paying out more money just because a midshipman has changed his mind about his school.</p>
