<p>I just spoke with admissions and they said that in the past it has been 0% off the waitlist or 100%, however, due to the increased amount of admitted transfer students, it wont be that way this year

<p>I’m not sure yet I’m really leaning towards UCSC though, but there’s the little nagging voice that goes BUT UCI IS MORE PRESTIGIOUS. ALSO, YOU HAVE FRIENDS IN ORANGE COUNTY. (Also it’d be cheaper cus the dorms are cheaper.) I feel bad because I could say ‘no’ to UCI right now and hopefully alleviate someone else’s suffering, but I also want to still have the chance to mull over it. I have until the 10th to send my SIR to UCI, so o:</p>

<p>According to mssun’s website, 2100 students o: . Looking at past waitlist data though, about half tend to opt in and say “yes, include me” (the other are like “Lul I got into UCLA anyway don’t care” or- whatever) so we can assume that around 1000 students said yes to opt into the waitlist probably o:</p>
<p>What…? What’s with the conflicting information? SummonerLenne said an administrative person confirmed the all or nothing when she called them… and kalrmcgee said that’s not the case this year when he called them. what the hecckkkk!?</p>
<p>It sucks cause I have couple of friends who submitted their SIP but their going to UCLA just to see if they can get into Irvine for the “***** OF IT” WHICH REALLY ****ES ME OFF!!!</p>
<p>Well, to be fair they confirmed that for me a month ago, before the final results were in for transfer SIR’s. I’d definitely say listen more to the new information than the old :/</p>
<p>Well, if they SIR’d to two schools the system tends to figure it out within a week or so and sends a letter saying “Choose now kthnxbai”. (Except, you know, not in internet speak.) Or do you mean that they said yes to be on the waitlist when it doesn’t matter cus they’re going to UCLA anyway? Cus, ya, that’s not cool :/</p>
