Hey guys, since its june 4th already... let me know if anyone heard from UCI for transfer decisions. Thanks in advance

I called them about it (because the freshmen waitlist was already going out by May 2nd) and they said that they didn’t know when it’d be sent out, but it was taking longer because it’s alot closer than it was with the freshmen (when it was so obviously under enrolled), and they need more time to crunch numbers and see if they should say yes to the waitlist, etc. So, ya, I dunno :/

I called today too and they said it will be out sometimes around June 15. Good luck man! Also, what is your major?

I’m an English major, but majors aren’t looked at for the waitlist. HOWEVER- I just got in :). WHICH MEANS. Everyone is going to get in. Cus UCI either accepts everyone off the waitlist or no one- they’ll do it in waves, so if you don’t have the letter yet today, don’t worry, you’re in :)

(I’ve actually decided I want to go to Santa Cruz after all, but lol.)

CONGRATS SummonerLenne! And thanks for posting up that you got in, I think that gave all of us a sigh of relief haha.

Thanks :). Ya, I was checking here everyday cus I was like, IF SOMEONE GETS IN I KNOW I DID TOO. Lol.

Oh congratz summonerlene!

can you copy and paste what it says on your MyAdmissions?

I can screencap it if you want? o:

its fine haha once again congrats! hopefully its true that i will get in soon

I really think it is o: I mean obviously I’m not a UCI admissions officer, and this could be the year they change their past policy but… I highly doubt it? O: Just keep checking your my admissions, I haven’t yet got an email saying it has changed so obviously the fastest way is just checking directly o:

Okay I will, thank you for your help

I GOT IN off the transfer Wait-list. just checked 10 min ago … so I guess Everyone is In! :D

Does anyone know how long to accept their offer of admission from the wait-list?
I’m still waiting on my UCSD wait-list and they only give you 3 days to make a decision.

It should say on your admissions page, but I got accepted today too and they’re giving me 5 days (till June 10th) so I’m assuming it’s the same for you o: . You can cancel UCI and go with UCSD if you do get in there later, that’d just… be far too much money…

Edit: CONGRATS BTW! :D

just wondering can you guys both post up your stats? thank you and CONGRATS to the both of you! =)

Well, stats don’t matter for the UCI waitlist, cus they accept everyone or no one.

Errr, and my stats are weird. Long story. When I applied they were like… a 2.8 or, something horrific, I don’t fully know. (My transcript said a 3.0 UC gpa, but it actually was missing one F, so I’m guessing it was around a 2.8). However I changed two grades that were F’s so now I’m a LOT better (transcript now read 3.42, though, err, it’s still missing that one F :D. Which probably makes it more like a 3.2 or something). HOWEVER, the grades were changed too late for me to contact the schools, so I just sent appeals to every school- and, somehow, UCI actually… put me on the waitlist… before I did that…

So, I sent them a message about my new grades and that I was more competitive now, but I don’t know if that has any effect on me being accepted earlier than others because- ya, my GPA when they put me on the waitlist was no bueno. I did say I wanted to be on the waitlist the first day I could (5/1) though, so maybe that has something to do with it? o:

oo it’s okay my gpa is no bueno either lol but ahhh hopefully they do it by those who submitted their SIP on May 1st and then so on cause thats when I submitted mine also.

Hopefully o: I feel like most people would have submitted it on May 1st though, I mean, it doesn’t take much thought to decide to say yes to something that gives you a great chance and doesn’t even cost you a dime, so o:

did you guys checking the UCI portal or received an email regarding the waitlist decision? thanks before.
