Did anyone here transfer into Bates? Is it difficult? I was wailisted RD last year and now attend an all womens college on the CC top lib arts colleges list, thinking of transferring…any info would be great! thanks!

There were some people here who transferred into Bates but I'm not sure if they still hang around here. However, I looked up some statistics from 2004 which said out of 155 students, only 22 were accepted, which means a 14.4% acceptance rate. This was the most recent info I could find, but you may be able to find info from this year if you search there a bit.

If you don't mind me asking, why do you want to transfer? That might help me better convince you to come here :).

wow only 22 accepted, thats tough. thanks for the info!

Well Bates was one of my top choices and it didnt work out the first time. But where I am now I am just...unhappy.Classes are good but the overall feel of the campus is dull and depressing. I don't know if this is selfish but I'd just like to attend a normal college...with boys and school spirit and football games and parties and an actual social life. So many of my friends seem to LOVE where they are going to school and I want that too...I want my four years at college to be the best four years they can be.
I'm going to stick it out where I am, I dont want to jump the gun..I just want options if I'm still feeling this way in a few more months.
