What is the acceptance rate for transfers and do they get prior consideration for acceptance over others who are applying

If you go into a CC and take everything you’re supposed to take and get pretty good grades you’ll be practically a lock. I’m sure people have horror stories but it is much easier to get in out of CC than HS. You can definitely tell the difference between talking to someone in a tough major who got in out of high school and someone who transferred from Santa Fe into business or social sciences

Transferring from another 4 year might be kind of tough. If nothing else I’d imagine getting the same GPA is likely more difficult.

From what I’ve gathered from other transfer posts…chances are decently good with a GPA of about 3.5 and above (although some have gotten in with lower,) and most of the pre-reqs done for your major. If it’s a limited access major, expect the GPA to be a bit higher. Oh, and you need an A.A. or 60 hours of credit.

Yea cause I’m transferring from SPC community college in Clearwater with a 3.33 gpa. I’m applying to the Rinker School of Building Construction but hopefully I’ll get accepted because I also heard that transfer receive prior consideration
