Transfer

I am a freshman at Bryant University and i am looking to transfer. I am looking for a public school in the northeast or in south carolina or north carolina. I was hoping for a school that cost less because bryants fees are getting to expensive for me. I should of thought about not going to bryant and i made a bad mistake. I am looking to major in accounting in hope to pursue either my cpa or get a law degree. My gpa first semester was a 2.75. I got a B plus in business a B in Micro and two C pluses in english and math. My english grade is hopefully going to change to a B- so my gpa is a 2.85. I am retaking my math class this semester on top of five other classes. My goal is to get above a 3.2 gpa for combined total for the whole year. Can i have some ideas of public schools in the Northeast or south carolina, or north carolina that i can transfer to. I was thinking Umass ahmerst, Penn state, Clemson university, north carolina state university, university of south carolina, and maybe stony brook. Can i have some ideas plz help i really need this.

i need more help bump… plz it’d be grateful

You’ll really only save money on a public school if you have residency in the state it’s in, which will allow you to pay in state tuition. Otherwise, your tuition will still be pricey. Since Bryant is in Rhode Island, that probably means that you’ll only be able to claim in state tution for the University of Rhode Island. Your GPA pretty much means that your unlikely to get in anywhere else as good. If you are willing to take on the challenge, and this is a very big if, then you might want to consider The Citadel in Charleson, SC. You should be aware though that it’s a very hardcore military academy , so you should only apply if you think you can put up with a rigidly controlled, harsh environment. Otherwise, URI is basically your best bet.

Hi My son applied to Bryant and it looked like a great school. May I ask why you wish to transfer? Is it only about the money? It seemed like it had a very strong Business program and LOTS to do around campus! Good luck if i dont hear back from you :)
