I completed my first semester at Manhattan College and finished with a 3.2 gpa. The school is just too small and I want to just be in a big school environment. I plan on transfering to one of the following schools for the fall of 09. The schools are:

University of New Hampshire
University of Vermont
UCONN
University of Maryland

Are these schools out of reach for me? Or are they out of my range and I should browse other schools.

Uconn and u Maryland are reaches for you, university of vermont and new hampshire a bit less so depending on the strength of the rest of your app…if you really want to get out of where you are however you should consider some more match and safety schools

Thanks for your response! I was also thinking of ohio state, 83 percent of transfer students get accepted, seems like a decent number. Do you have any reccomendations. I want to go to a big state school ( don’t say rutgers lol).

Good luck to those of you transferring out. I have couple of questions about Manhattan, and I’d appreciate it if you could answer some of them. How religious is this school, and if you are not Catholic could you be happy there? Also, do they guarantee housing for all 4 years and how is the housing? Do a lot of students stay on campus on weekends? How is the FA? Thanks. Please send me a PM so I don’t hijack the OP’s thread!

Tdaly- are you from ohio? if you are, then it should be easier for you to transfer in. Ohio State is about as hard to transfer in as Penn State is.
