I’m a freshman at a non accredited university in Turkey I’m studying medicine but I want to transfer to any college in America for my second year. What are my chances and how is the procedure?
One, dont make a same thread. Be patient.
Second, it all depends on which college you want to go. As long as you have money, you will get in 9 out of 10 US colleges.
Third, you can read each college’s website to see details of int transfer, but ingeneral you need:
TOEFL or SAT/ACT
high school transcript
Current college transcript
Proof of financial support
This is a pretty vague post. Do you have any information to give such as your GPA, SAT scores (have you taken your SATs?).
The system is very different between Turkey and the US. In Turkey you typically take one test and are assigned a school and major, In the US you apply to individual schools. Each school has their own entrance requirements. Student typically choose a variety of schools to apply to and see which schools accept them. There are over 3000 colleges and universities!
You may need to give more info before anyone can help you understand the process. Since your college is unaccredited why not start with your high school stats such as GPA, SAT scores or other test scores, extra activities you participated in while in school in during this year.
Also what can your family afford to pay. This also will change where you can apply.
Start reading here: https://educationusa.state.gov/
Then contact the Advising Center closest to where you live. The counselors there are expert at helping students find good places to study here. There are several Advising Centers in Turkey:https://educationusa.state.gov/find-advising-center?field_region_target_id=&field_country_target_id=224&field_center_level_value=All
In particular the advising center mentioned above would give you information about the fact you’re attending a non accredited institution . In addition. medicine is a graduate program in the US . in short you may have to apply as a freshman and it’s quite certain none me your credits will transferof
