I am currently interested in transferring to the MSU next fall but I am unsure if I will get accepted due to my low GPA which is 2.4. From what I have read everyone is saying that the minimum GPA to transfer is a 3.0 but I didnt know if it would help that I go to Michigan and it is a very difficult school.

Why? MSU is the reject school.

^Not necessarily true.

To answer the OP, yes, you pretty much need over a 3.0, higher for business and engineering. Even from Michigan, a 2.4 is probably too low. There are plenty of kids who worked hard at community colleges/other universities that have higher GPA’s.

Out of curiosity, why do you want to leave michigan for MSU?
