Transfering to Education City (A&M) in Duha, Qatar for engineering?

Do you know if the selectivity of both colleges are the same? Do students at college station get to go to QATAR for longer than a semester?

Alright.
So, Texas A&M in Qatar is much different than College Station.
Size-wise. Classes are small, there is very WAY less people studying there.
You will be in a Campus with other 5 or so American Universities.

The campus is pretty nice.
They are currently rebuilding everything.
You also got new Dorms.
Really high quality stuff, I highly doubt you could find that in College Station.

Program.
Same thing.
No big difference.

Learning Arabic.
It isn’t that simple. But unlike many others, I believe it is an easy language. Once you get some idea of the language, it becomes much easier.

People.
Okey, great misconception here.
Texas people are extremely closed minded not open minded <_<.
Qatar is not SAUDI ARABIA.
The country is overrun by foreign people, the country is extremely rich. There are awesome cool cars.
For instance, do you see a college student going to university in his Ferrari ?
Well, here you do.

Money.
Okey, so, you do have exchange programs.
If you can transfer to this branch of A&M,I am quite sure you can.
Given that if you want to transfer OUT of A&M Qatar, you would need to apply as a transfer student to College Station.
So, if you are a full time student in Qatar, you have the right to scholarships.
Moza(Search her up later) is pretty cool and gives hardworking students FULL TUITION. Yes, full tuition scholarships, and the scholarships are pretty easy to get(given that you maintain a certain grade)
They also got loans which are cool too.

Uhm, what else ?

Oh, the student body.
Mainly guys.
They have a very closed mentality in the sense of dating.
What I really mean is, it is just more annoying to get girls here, they date but it is just more difficult, it is not the same.
You will understand if you go to Qatar.

(lol, and to the people saying that “you don’t make friends with the locals that easily” hehehehe. Arabs are the most insane type of people. Jeez, you can only understand once you see it with your own eyes. Most people that go to EC have a somewhat open mentality, so you will be fine.
Qatar is composed A LOT OF Filipinos and Indians[Cheap labor])

The country.
There is a lot of privileges given to Qataris(Natives) that you won’t, and can’t have.
From Universities to jobs. Anything. You will also understand that if you go to Qatar

Jobs!

Yeap, full of internships opportunities, HOWEVER, those might, many of the times, be exclusive to Qataris, or Arabs.(Yeah I know, it is pretty irritating)
Usually, yearly if I am not mistaken, there are opportunies for you get to know the companies better(They set several booths all over with their company and you check it out.)

Uhmmm
Can’t think of anything else at the moment.

Thanks for that helpful insight. I have a strong conviction the college would be the right fit for me along with the culture, etc. I do not know of their admission standards but I doubt they are identical to the admissions at college station.

It is easier to get in A&M Qatar

MrWhatIf. How do you know if it’s easier?
