<p>I finished my first semester at a state school with a 4.0 gpa. I would like to transfer to Northwestern. What is the best way to go about doing so? how heavily would my high school gpa weigh in? (i had around a 3.6/3.7 gpa).</p>
<p>4 yrs HS vs. 1 sem (plus at most a mid-sem report) when decisions are made, your HS record and test scores are still major factors.</p>
<p>NW is really hard to get into for transfers. Your best bet is to keep up that 4.0 into next year and apply for fall 2015. You will have a much better chance.</p>
