Transferring to NU after Freshman year?

Cliff notes:
-Current high school senior
-Denied from Early Decision
-GPA: 4.2 W, 3.7 UW
-ACT: 29
-Overall 6 AP classes taken by graduation
-Several leadership activities + volunteering hours (just don't want to waste time typing out)
-Illinois State Scholar + other comparable awards

How much better will I need to do at a community college or state university in order to meet Northwestern's requirements as a transfer student next year?

Also, sorry for newb question but can one apply as a transfer after a semester at community college or does one have to wait the entire year?

Thank you all :D

Freshmen transfers only have one semester grades, so your high school stats will still play a large role. Northwestern transfer rate is even lower than their freshmen acceptance rate, with many students transferring from other top schools.

To answer your question, earliest you could transfer would be for Fall 2013.
