Hey guys, so I plan on attending UCSB next fall as a transfer student under the TAG program for psychology. I should finish up my Associates degree this fall at my community college if I pass all my classes this fall. And according to Assist.org, I only need one more class left to complete UCSB’s pre-major sheet. So now, this is where the question comes in. Since I only need one more class for the pre-major sheet, can I take that class at Santa Barbara, instead of taking a single class next spring? The class is Calculus, and I am taking the pre req for cCalculus this fall. So would I risk getting my TAG application rejected if I plan to do that.
And btw, Assist.org cleary says “Transfer students are strongly advised to complete as many major preparatory courses as
possible prior to enrolling at UCSB. Although completion of all major preparatory courses is not an admissions requirement, completion, or near completion, of these courses will help students move more efficiently toward graduation after transfer.”
With that being said, I don’t really need to take that math class next Spring then right, since Assist says, completion of “ALL” major prep courses is not an admission requirement. So could I possibly do that?
