How easy is it to transfer to UConn? I am going to communtity college(for 1 year, to save money), and want to transfer to UConn after that.

Stats-

GPA-3.0 throughout high school(graduated this past saturday)
SAT-1470(out of 2400), just plain terrible score.
Community Service- I did like 5 hours of CS at the local library

Would a 3.0-3.5 be sufficient enough to transfer to UConn?

the acceptance % for transfers is about 50%, so I would aim for more like a 3.4-3.5 at worst. I don't really see them admitting someone with a 3.0 who'se not at a UConn branch campus, but I could be wrong. Call admissions and find out what the average GPA, they should be able to tell you.

(860) 486-3137

you bet, I have it memorized by now. I called them hundreds (not an exxageration) of times last year. I applied in SEPTEMBER and didn't get a decision until APRIL. And no, I wasn't waitlisted...just took them so damn long.
