Transferred school in Senior year... :(

Hi. I'm a senior in high school, and I moved from Texas to Georgia 3 months ago due to many reasons.

In Texas school, I was ranked 12% at the end of Junior year in my class, but when i moved to Georgia school, my rank dropped to 34%..

In my common application, I'm very very reluctant to put 34% as my rank, because I worked really hard in Texas for 3 years in an environment where I had the same teachers, course levels with other students.

In another words, I don't know If i deserve to be in 34% because these new Georgia high school students and I had different teachers and took different courses that were offered in my Texas school..

Is there anyway I could appeal this factor to my application? Is it possible to show them my Junior transcript to prove I was in 12%?

Please help me... please..

most colleges will require transcripts from all high schools you have attended

Oh really??
Can anyone else tell me if this is true?
“most colleges will require transcripts from all high schools you have attended”

But the thing is, my new Georgia high school transcript transcribed everything from my Texas school transcript.

Can i still send my Texas high school transcript along with my Georgia high school transcript?

Yes. You also can ask your teachers and guidance counselor in Texas to write letters of recommendation for you.

Talk with your new counselor, and get help sorting this out. You aren’t the first student to transfer to that school for senior year.

At our HS, they do not report rank if you transfer in after Junior year. Maybe they can take it off your transcript?

I would leave the rank blank (or put in n/a for non-applicable). Hopefully your school will agree to take it off your transcript anyway.
AND there is a box you can check on the Common App if you have attended more than one high school. If you check that box, you are given an unlimited space to explain the circumstances. Use it!!

Thanks for the reply.

My counselor told me that she’s going to write a good reccomendation letter that explains everything, but she won’t take my ranks off of the transcript.

But on common apps, should I still put 12% as my rank, or put 34%? :o

If the counselor isn’t taking it off the transcript than why would you put something different. Like reallypeople said, explain, that’s all you can do.
