Transferring a essay to Common App

<p>I wrote an essay for Northwestern that I really like. Can I use that one for the Common App prompt - "Topic of your choice"??? The Northwestern essay question is:</p>

<p>"People tend to accept traditions blindly. Examine a commonly accepted tradition you think needs updating or changing. Why should it be changed and how would you change it?"</p>

<p>Is that choice (Topic of your choice option) meant for transferring essays? Do universities like this? Thanks!</p>
