Transferring after Freshman year!?!?

Anyone here ever done it? Im at a lame school right now and want to transfer so I can go to a different uni my sophomore year

Im at fgcu right now and want to transfer to either fsu, uf or ucf

Freshman classes are pretty easy so Ill probably end up with around a 3.2-3.5

Im also doing intramurals and am going to join some clubs

In hs I had a 3.0 gpa and 24 on the act and played baseball and diving too

I also heard that youre more likely to get accepted as a transfer than as an incoming freshman, is that true

rate my chances to all schools /10 please

thanks

Yes despite what many school counselors say, you can transfer to certain universities right after your freshman year. Tons of people have done it on CC. I’m in the process of applying to schools as a sophomore transfer right now. However, not all colleges accept sophomore level transfer students. UF is only accepting junior level transfer students at the moment. UCF and FSU are allowing sophomore transfer, but they have additional requirements. I would go look at their websites to make sure you meet all the requirements. At some schools, it’s easier to get in as a transfer. At other schools, it’s the exact opposite. If you look a school up on college board, it will tell you what percentage of transfer applicants were accepted. One thing that does generally ring true is that it’s easier to get in as a junior transfer than it is to get in as a sophomore transfer.
