Transferring and sororities

So I transferred last semester but did not reaffilate with the chapter at the new school. I met with the president of the new chapter once and talked about being interested in joining their chapter and she said they had to take a vote on it and would let me know the results of the vote. I never heard from her again. I’m assuming they voted no since I didn’t hear anything from her, but tbh I’m not sure if they actually took a vote or not since I never heard anything. Idk why, it could’ve been because of my gpa which was a 3.1 or because I was a newly initiated member. I was wondering if maybe I should contact her again before the fall semester starts? I just really wish I could have been able to meet some of the other sisters before they voted on me. I literally only met one. I guess I just feel like I wasn’t given a fair shot. Should I just move on and give up on it or try again?? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Though this isn’t the forum to ask these types of questions, I’ll try and answer your question anyway.

You should try again. The worst that could happen is that you’d get a no, but at least it’s a definitive answer. Though since I’m not really in the Greek life, I’m just advising through common sense.

Next time you have a question concerning sororities, I suggest that you go to a sorority / Greek Life forum, since there are people who are much more qualified to answer your questions.

Best of luck!
