I'm currently deciding whether or not to transfer to a different college for the spring semester. Its my junior year but technically I'm still a sophmore cause I don't have enough units. I'm not happy at my school, csusb and dont like the atmosphere at all or the people of dont seem motivated commuting to school and living at home. I want the whole college experience. I just visited my friends school humboldt and fell in love with it along with the people. I love everything about it there. My parents are kinda iffy about my transferring thinking I wont have enough aid. But I was thinking I would still find a way or find loans or anything. I just want a place to be happy and cant take it anymore here. Is it possible for me to transfer spring semester and is it a good idea for me?

Contact Humbolt and ask if they take transfers for second semester.

Please remember that financial aid is usually not very good for transfer students, and it usually is not good for second semester admissions. If the money doesn’t work out, what will your backup plan be? You might be best off to take a leave of absence from your current university at the end of this term, and apply for transfer to Humbolt and other places for next fall.

They are accepting transfers for the spring semester and told me to reapply for financial aid in january to see what happens if I am accepted. If I am able to find loans, it will work out but for now I gotta plan it out. Just wondering how bad financial aid is for second semester tranfers for anyone who has experienced it??

bump, anyone??
