Transferring Credits...?

Hey can someone plz tell me why when you transfer schools only the credit transfers and not the...grades?

Because it's a different institution. Transfer credits work as a C or higher is a pass and is a "credit". because different schools have different standards, that's the best way. plus what's wrong with a clean slate to get a 4.0?

Well what happens when you apply to graduate school? They only see credit...no grades, I'm asking cuz I did fairly well in all my classes. I work my butt off for those grades.

For grad school they see your school GPA, and if you want, you may keep your other GPA on there, but you'd have to keep your previous school on there as well.

Well while where posting here....
whats your personal opinion on my chances...if i had a 3.3/3.4 and applied to emory?

For graduate school, they will ask you for transcripts from all schools attended; so the schools will definately see both school's grades.
