transferring/drop-out decision?? please help

OK SO heres the run down:

I’m at a college right now that I am having a horrid, miserable time at. I am planning on transferring out at the end of the year. The problem is, upon scoping out the transferring details, I discovered that my college credits (I am currently at a liberal arts school running on a quarter system.) All of the schools I am looking to transferring to are state schools that run on a semester system so long story short: none of/barely any of my credits transfer over. So I’m conflicted on if I should finish out the school year and basically waste money on credits that wont transfer, or drop out and just move back home and work for the rest of the year??? Thoughts/opinions/wisdom/literally anything would help please i’m having a crisis. Thanks!!

Transferrability does not depend on whether the calendar is semester or quarters. What matters is the course content.

That said, unless your current place is as cheap as the place you will transfer too, there isn’t much point in staying past the end of the current term. Arrange a leave of absence (so you can return if you change your mind), and go home after this quarter ends.
