Transferring during Winter Quarter

I plan on transferring to a UC during the winter quarter because I still have more classes to take and this time next year I should be done with all those classes. Does anybody know whether it would be better to transfer during the winter quarter, or just wait until the following fall?

Depends on which UC. A couple will let you enter in the winter, and for others you will have to wait until the following Fall. Sorry I don't remember them off the top of my head. Can you post which UCs you are talking about and maybe someone can help you out?

I think all UCs except for Merced and Riverside are not accepting applications this winter due to over-enrollment.

and i believe UCLA and Cal ONLY accept fall registrations, unless ur an engineer for UCLA..

Is different every year if schools accept winter transfers, it depends how many students transfered in the fall. UCI,UCSC, UCM (spring),and UCR had almost all majors opened for winter this year. UCLA only for engineering. UCD,UCSD,UCSB had it for students with tag. UCB doesn't take spring transfer, student that applied for fall might deferred for spring.
