Transferring from CC

Hello! So I had a horrible GPA in HS (1.8) But I have started going to my local CC. I took a summer english class (got an A) and am now taking three classes in fall (and I will be getting A's there as well). I SUCK AT DRAWING but I am getting better, I try to sketch everyday. I like architecture and really want to do it for a living, and I dont mind doing a non b.arch program and taking 2 more years m.arch. After all it still takes the same amount of time either way. So my questions are:
1. What are other ways I can sketch better.
2. when should I apply to transfer

I am currently looking at Southern Illinois university, ball state, UIC, University of Illinois in urbana, and maybe some others that dont really require a portfolio. The classes I am taking right now as a freshman at cc are:

English Comp 1 (took over summer got an A)
Mythology and fairytale (Sophomore level english class)
Philosophy of religion
Intro to archeology (Sophomore level anthropology class.

I plan on getting A's in all three classes

SO what can I do to get a better chance at going to an arch school. Should I apply now to get into a fall 2015 program, or wait and try to get in for Spring 2016 or fall 2016? ShouldI take art classes next semester? Thank you for taking the time to read this!

Anyone?

Hi, i cant provide help in terms of transferring from CC, but as for drawing, make sure you get very good at that asap! Usually around 4-5 hours a day of drawing would seem good to get to a well rounded level. I understand you might not need a portfolio for your application but while your learning make sure to emphasise a good form and composition in a drawing. You should look into schools like Pratt, Syracuse, Tulane, Cincinatti(they aren’t too competitive, but I think these require a portfolio)
