Some advice for arch schools please :)

Hi everybody!

I've been reading these forums for a while now and I must say this community is very helpful Im a sophomore at ut arlington right now and will be moving soon to california. I was hoping for some advice, I'm an architecture major and I want to apply to cal poly pomona, usc, and ucla.

Anybody have any good advice on stats and especially portfolio? I had been accepted to ucla for freshman year but that was under a biology major. i've never taken any art classes, (always hated drawing cause i thought i couldnt draw) i am taking beginner's drawing right now and for the spring am set for design studio 1. i'd appreciate the help, if anybody whose already in, or who submitted a portfolio as a transfer and got accepted. I really have no idea what they are looking for.

appreciate the greatness at cc! ^_^

Submit the works that you have done at ut arlington. Have you drawn anything creative/ shows that you are capable of architectural drawings?
I think it would also be for your advantage to send UCLA/ USC/ cal poly admissions an email/contact to show that you are very interested in transferring and asking them what your portfolio should reflect. I don’t know if it is the same for first year admissions, but they are usually looking for how well you can develop your ideas into drawings.
